Plain-English glossary

Finance loves jargon. We don't. Tap any term.

  • Compound interest

Earning returns on your returns. It's why starting early beats starting big — time does more work than the amount you put in.

  • APR

The yearly cost of borrowing, as a percentage. On a credit card, a high APR is how a small balance quietly becomes a big one.

  • Credit utilization

How much of your available credit you're using. Keeping it low is one of the easiest ways to help your credit score.

  • Multi-family office

A team that coordinates everything financial for several wealthy families — investments, taxes, estate planning. Reavo's goal is to put that kind of coordination in everyone's pocket.

  • Blockchain

A shared record that's very hard to tamper with. Useful for proving who you are and that a record hasn't been altered — without handing everything to a middleman.

  • Verifiable credential

A digital, cryptographically signed proof of something true about you — like "verified student" — that you control and share only when you choose.
